A tin-roofed, mud and straw-walled cottage sits at the centre of Gibson’s 5-acre vineyard in Light Pass. It was the original home of the local Blacksmith and his family, thought to date back to the 1850s. An enchanting artefact of the Barossa’s early European settlers, we know it simply as ‘The Smithy’.

This red wine, like The Smithy cottage itself, is full of character and unassuming charm. The quintessential Australian blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, the elements of The Smithy come together seamlessly.

Gibson The Smithy Shiraz Cabernet is a classic Barossa red wine blend that can be enjoyed at any time of the year. It pairs particularly well with slow cooked lamb shanks or a seared rib-eye steak with garlic butter.
